Why do I have to provide an owners title insurance policy?

It’s standard in most Florida counties that the seller provide the new buyer with an owners title insurance policy. Typically in your contract it is the sellers responsibility to provide the new buyer  a good clear and insurable title to the property. The exception to the rule is in Broward & Miami-Dade County the buyer chooses. As a general rule, whoever pays for the premium chooses the title company.
